Programmer's Day

Tomorrow, September 12, will be Programmer's Day - an unofficial holiday for programmers, celebrated on the 256th day of the year. The number 256 (two to the eighth power) is chosen because it is the number of numbers that can be expressed with one byte. In leap years, this holiday falls on September 12, in non-leap years - on September 13.

Often the word "programming" and everything connected with it is associated with an ordinary person only with a personal computer, but this is not so. Almost every electronic device - from a remote control to complex industrial machines with program control - at one time passed through the hands of programming experts.

Every hour we face the fruits of the work of what the programmer did. Do we watch TV, do we listen to the radio, do we talk on the phone - we use what the programmer created. Perhaps no profession covers such a wide area of our lives.

And while this holiday is still completely and completely virtual, the fruits of the work of our glorious programmers are very, very real. The importance of the profession of a programmer in everyday life is difficult to underestimate. This type of activity is becoming increasingly widespread and, at the same time, symbolizes the vanguard of modern society.
