Deepmemo - Social Quote Book

It's time to introduce the reader of Habrahabr to a service that I have been using for a long time and have not been overjoyed in any way. The fact is that I work in the media on duty, and therefore the preservation of blocks of text for me is the most important moment of work. Quotes of politicians, artists and just heroes of stories are sometimes difficult to find, since I work with many different sources. For a long time I was looking for ways to save the necessary information. At one time, the deal helped, but it’s also difficult to find a couple of necessary sentences among the entire text, and therefore I share my find - the social quote page Deepmemo .

After registering, the user gets the opportunity to save their quotes. We indicate the title, the text of the entry, in which the popular visual editor helps. It is clear that, like in all other social services, there is a “tags” section, with which, for example, it’s easier for me to navigate than by means of standard navigation of socially oriented sites. In this regard, it’s also convenient to search for quotes that I myself haven’t reached — I click on the phrase that interests me and the quotes collected by other users on the topic are also available to me.

Speaking of users. Since this is a social network, there is a “frending” here. It is clear that either friends in real life or people from related professions, whose activities and interests are also useful to follow, are of particular interest, perhaps you will miss something interesting. You can add files to the quotes (the same videos), which are allocated a gigabyte of space. It is also pleasant that each quote has its own URL, which is convenient when you need to show the link to the saved text to colleagues with whom you are working on the same material. The access level, by the way, is also different, it can be either limited or post the text “for everyone”.

In a separate line, I note my joy about the RSS feeds for each "blog" in which quotes of a certain person appear. By subscribing to one of them, you can safely follow the updates directly from the RSS reader window. And finally, I recall the plug-ins for browsers Internet Explorer and Firefox, which greatly facilitate the process of saving text: having selected the area, we make a couple of clicks and that's it - the quote will always remain in an easily accessible place.

In general, let's share our views on this resource and at the same time discuss all those who work in this area, the issue of cataloging information is very relevant for me. :)
