First impressions of the iPhone? Disappointment…

Here is a partial list:

1. Bluetooth can be used ONLY to connect a headset. All.
2. There is no file browser. To organize the data (if this happens) there must be an appropriate application.
3. Camera is a simple application with ONE button: shutter. On the phone itself, the photos look good, but when viewed on a computer monitor - nothing special, especially attempts at macro photography.
4. The SIM card is almost impossible to remove. It will be necessary to try better.
5. The web browser is slow even through the WLAN. Even simple OneList web applications open for 20 seconds. via WLAN. On websites, you cannot select, cut, copy, or paste text; images cannot be saved either. The only nice thing is the presence of tabs, which, however, are frozen, I opened Engadget and YouTube at the same time in two tabs. This is also the only application in which you can use the horizontal keyboard (landscape).

6. The keyboard is crap. Employees said it would be easier when the iPhone “recognizes” me, but still, this is not a device that can be conveniently used with one hand, even less convenience when trying to work without looking.
7. Only one photo can be sent in an e-mail at a time.
8. There are no customizable ringtones (not yet, as we were told), the sound signals do not change either.
9. Built-in ringtones are incredibly dumb.
10. The only thing you can change, apart from the dumb ringtones, is the background image, which you only see when you need to unlock, or when someone calls you.
11. The function of "capturing pictures" or zooming in on the display of any content with two fingers is, of course, fun, but absolutely impractical. In addition, this operation can be performed exclusively with two hands.
12. There is no built-in tool for viewing or editing documents. You cannot save documents for viewing; they can only be viewed as attachments to e-mail messages.
13. Visual voicemail slows down and reacts as if you enabled rewind on regular voicemail. The only advantage is for those who receive so many voice messages every day that they need to sort them by importance.
14. NOT ONE game.
15. No voice dialing.
16. There is no speed dialing (it can be implemented using the “quick list”, but access to this list is not as fast as holding one key on a regular keyboard).
17. No video support.
18. No MMS support.
19. For $ 500, you get a capacity of less than 4GB anyway, and for $ 600, less than 8GB.
20. To explore all the menus that do not have any expansion options, it will take only about 2 hours. True, you can go in search of new web applications that load slowly and do not work as smoothly as "native" applications.
It seems that this device is aimed at the average consumer who has the means to purchase such a noisy device, however, it lacks support for so many basic functions that it can hardly be considered a success in the field of mass devices. This phone allows an advanced user to abandon MMS and use e-mail to send images, but it does not have many other functions familiar to an advanced user. And all this is crowned by a huge price tag.

The device, of course, is cute, and the Americans will buy it because of the simple user interface, but those who are familiar with other operating systems will be shocked. This phone must be unlocked and become FULLY open to find a more efficient use of its multi-touch system. Or he needs an urgent revision of each function through iTunes.
