FireFox 2.0.0.16 and FireFox 3.0.1 Update
On the official Mozilla blog, there is information about the next update for the FireFox 2.xxx branch - 2.0.0.16. As usual, this update is positioned as an update that improves stability and security.
Judging by the list of changes, only two critical vulnerabilities have been fixed:
These same corrections also affected the third development branch - version 3.0.1 was released.
Who has the third version installed - share - did the update really come out?
If your browser has not updated on its own, and this should happen within 48 hours after the update was released, then you can download the new version yourself.

FireFox developers remind that support for the second branch of the product will last only until December 2008, so it is recommended that everyone upgrade to FireFox 3.

- MFSA 2008-35 When Firefox isn’t running, an attempt to open the URL from the command line opens several identical bookmarks in the browser.
- MFSA 2008-34 Executing remote code by overflowing the number of links to CSS objects
These same corrections also affected the third development branch - version 3.0.1 was released.
