Plumiferos - a cartoon made with open source software

In 2005, long before the release of Elephants Dream and Big Buck Bunny , a cartoon called Plumiferos (free birds) was announced at the next Blender conference.
Unlike the two other above-mentioned projects, Plumiferos is not sponsored by the Blender Foundation, moreover, it is not created in the Netherlands. but in Argentina.
The cartoon lasts about 75 minutes, there is a healthy traceable plot, the quality of animation is at the level (although it looks worse than in the projects supported by Blender).

The content of the cartoon is about life right above us. The main character - the bird of Feifi - is released and learns a lot about the hard life of free birds.
Since its duration exceeds ED and BBB by more than 7 times, the development time is longer, namely, the cartoon is being developed to this day! That is already 3.5 years.
And, unfortunately, there is a catch in all of this: the project ... is commercial.
The pofigist logic of the creators who plan to first complete the work on the cartoon and then sign a contract with Sony Pictures is completely incomprehensible (by the way, Sony Pictures already used Blender to make 3D scenes in Spiderman 2).
And yet, the project is already good in that its participants added new features to Blender; that the whole cartoon is made using only OpenSource software.
The premiere will be in 2008.
