Deki Wiki for the lazy

The story of my acquaintance with this engine began very simply - the bosses demanded a corporate website, and preferably on the Wiki engine. MediaWiki did not pass by access rights, DokuWiki was too simple, JSPWiki was very close, but there was no way to cross it with domain accounts. Then more important tasks pounced and for a couple of months I had to postpone the entire project.
    WYSIWYG Editor
And then one fine day I come across on opennet the news about open projects that may interest business. Among them was the MindTouch Deki Wiki. A quick inspection showed the suitability of the engine. Most of all I was surprised that I still have not stumbled upon it. Installation using the finished image of the virtual machine was quick and painless. The interface is nice, pages are edited in the WISIWIG editor. Pictures are inserted with previews, you can hang tags, but this is not the main thing. The best thing about this project is the documentation. FAQdetailed and complete, considered necessary and useful things. English is not complicated, Linux teams are international. Using this same FAQ, I linked the wiki to the domain and gave default rights to domain users in 30 minutes with a tea break. In addition to the username login, it loads the full username. The engine supports extensions, but they didn’t come in handy. Those who wish can connect their wiki site with flicker, digg or google maps.

Of the shortcomings, I can note that the user name is used as an identifier, respectively, a name change is a laborious manual process of updating tables. It is good that it is described in the same FAQ. And he constantly swears at the opera, they say it’s not supported, etc., but it seems to function normally.

Summary: If you want a corporate wiki, take a look at the Deki Wiki.
