And again about karma

I looked here, counted, and came to the conclusion that self-regulating communities such as Habr (in the ideal case, that is, without the intervention of the administration) can destroy themselves by karma.

The essence of the problem is that any person who gets +5 in karma has the opportunity to increase / decrease karma to 5 users per day.

I’ll explain using an example: 5 users are registered,
on the first of them we dial +5, we raise the karma to the 4th for the rest,
on the second we collect the missing 4, plus the rest
    ... in

total we need +15 votes of external users for karma,
if we recruit them we can arrange the “Carmolavins” effect ie register users in unlimited quantities with the possibility of voting. If you manage to gain a critical mass of pseudo-users (their karma will grow in proportion to their number), then it will be possible to leave the ability to write only to these users.

Of course, this will not work in the existing system thanks to the intervention of the administration, but I think the problem takes place, albeit on a smaller scale.

I can’t offer anything in return for karma, but can someone come up with something more interesting.
