Navigation device of the beginning of the last century

Long before the existence of satellite navigation, back in 1927, such a portable device as the Plus Four Wristlet Route Indicator was created , which can now be called a kind of substitute for our modern GPS navigators.

The device looks like a watch, it has two levers that allow you to scroll forward and backward on a paper map. It had 20 different cards and it cost 5 pounds at that time. To some extent, this device can even be considered the ancestor of our modern navigation devices.
