A beta version of the OpenOffice.org open office suite is available for download .
In the new version there are such changes:
- Support for Mac OS X (Now you do not need X11 to run )
- Support for ODF 1.2 (New version of the open standard OpenDocument Format (ODF) )
- Import Filters from Microsoft Office 2007
- Improvements in the charting component
- Improvement of the Crop tool in Draw and Impress
- Ability to collaborate on one document
- Increase the number of columns in Calc from 256 to 1024
- Ability to view multiple pages at once when editing in Writer
- Improvements to work with your notes in Writer
- New Icons
- New launch center
- PDF / A support and enhancements in PDF export
And many more other changes.
