TOC, CCPM. Required to study
Today I read Goldratt’s book Critical Chain, and experienced a real paradigm shift. Unfortunately, I did not find its Russian edition, I read it in electronic form in English (you can find it here , for example).
So, friends, “Critical Chain” is a wonderful book written in a very light artistic language, which made me take a different look at what I do and how to manage projects.
In general, I went for a long time to study this theory (I sprinkle ashes on my head). You know, this usually happens as follows: somewhere out of my ear I heard that there is an interesting theory ( Theory of Constraints, TOC ), which allows you to look completely different at the management in the broadest sense of the word.
Then i sawAndrey Stepenko ’s presentation on the theory of constraints as applied to project management, and I thought that it would be nice to read the authors of the theory in the original. Andrei, by the way, deals with this issue quite professionally - this is the company in which he works.
In addition, ailev added fuel to the fire , which periodically gives very interesting links on my blog, among which are TOC and CCPM (Critical Chain Project Management).
Moreover, periodically there are very interesting discussions about how to use TOC in real life.
Now, I started studying the book on CCPM, which is called: "Critical Chain Project Management" .
After reading the book, many interesting thoughts rummage through my head, I will try to organize them and share with you.
If one of the readers knows how TOC is used in real Russian life, share it.
