
HLC MiLeap - Indian rival ASUS eeePC

Microsoft Corporation and Indian company HCL Infosystems have announced the expansion of cooperation .
The companies announced plans to create a joint center of excellence, as well as launch production in India of the most inexpensive laptops preloaded with Windows XP Home Edition.
At a low price, the laptop has excellent characteristics. MiLeap model will be equipped with a seven-inch rotary display with touch input support, an inexpensive Intel processor, an integrated Intel 945 GU Express graphics adapter, 1GB DDR2 RAM, Wi-Fi and Ethernet controllers, a 1.3-megapixel camera, built-in speakers and special buttons for control a media player. The weight of MiLeap will be about one kilogram.
In India, the estimated cost of a laptop will be 17,000 rupees (about 400 cu). Such a low price justifies itself with such a wonderful configuration.
