T5000 camera “sees” through clothes

The British company ThruVision presented to the public its new development in the field of security. This is a camera that allows you to "see" through your clothes (no, no, not what you thought). The device under the "terminator" name T5000 allows you to pick up electromagnetic radiation in the terahertz range, also called T-rays.

This device is by no means a pervert’s dream, because it works on the principle “different objects shine with different brightness”, depending on the material the object is made of. Thus, explosive objects can be distinguished from a piece of plasticine, and cocaine from a bag of flour. The device allows you to "look" through the fabric, ceramics and even wood. Water and metal are screens that prevent the T5000 from peeping.

The creators used in the development of technology from the field of astronomy: the principle of operation of the device for observing dying stars. The technology will undoubtedly be useful both for military projects and for civilian organizations related to security. Flooded with people airports, crowds in stadiums, mass celebrations, huge shops - this is the place of work of the T5000. According to the developers, the device is able to detect, for example, weapons and drugs in people who are at a distance of up to 25 meters from it.

The device is absolutely harmless and has no effect on the body of a living creature. From an ethical point of view, everything is also clean - the camera does not display the anatomical details of a person.

The production and widespread use of the T5000 will greatly facilitate the work of security services, but it can also become a double-edged sword: British personal freedom activists are already sounding the alarm about the creation of a “total surveillance society”. It is known that security issues on the island are given great importance.
