What social service would allow Odnoklassniki not to lose popularity

Recently, there has been a conversation about the decline of popular social networks in the West, and that after some time it will begin with us. At the same time, I think that the very idea of such services rests on the ceiling, I think is wrong.

What type of interaction goes on a service like Odnoklassniki?
    Information exchange.
Moreover, it is quickly fading - constantly asking whether something new has happened - is inconvenient, to monitor changes in friends' profiles - too (especially when you have about a hundred).

How can one build a social service with this in mind?
    1. Encourage users to fill out brief information about the basic areas of life:
    2. Let friends see your changes and receive notifications about it. When positioning as a resource for personal communication, the problem of a different level of access to information seems relevant only in the case of several lovers, secret children, etc. :) but even this does not look unsolvable. The main thing is the idea itself.
    3. Actually, for each update, send a notification to a friend.
    4. The result is a bunch of informational occasions in the inbox, choose to taste :)
And in fact, until the end of life :) After all, people always happen, then not only children but grandchildren will go ... :)
    5. In addition, for each class / group to create their own community, where people could communicate together, and not one on one. And to do this by default, so that the user does not have to create a group \ to invite participants, as in Vkontakte. The automatic creation of communities increases their popularity.
    What can be pitfalls:
    1. Irregularity of user input updates. In theory, updates from others should stimulate the introduction of updates from themselves. If others do not have this, the resource itself may remind you of this.
    2. Unwillingness to receive the same deafened responses. It's like a happy birthday - on the one hand, it's nice to receive congratulations, on the other - you understand that many congratulate you just because they have a corresponding reminder, and they would never have remembered ...
Although, maybe it's far-fetched ... Given how many people watch blog entries, and how many - leaves comments.

In any case, the main thing in the entire implementation will be a mass audience, and therefore it is too risky to engage in competition with Odnoklassniki. For them, launching such functionality is much easier than for anyone else - to assemble a similar audience.

But so far they, as if resting on their laurels, do not create anything like this. And obvious months-long shoals do not rule. But they are only trying to cope with growth and release "Stars on Classmates" ...
