AMD Phenom 9600 Black Edition

    AMD officially announces the release of new Phenom 9600 Black Edition processors designed for overclocking enthusiasts. The main advantage of the new products is the unlocked multiplier, which theoretically allows you to achieve good results when the processor is “overclocked”. However, it is worth noting that specific instances are based on B2 stepping, which, as you know, has an error in the TLB block, which in rare cases causes the system to freeze

    Key features of the AMD Phenom 9600 Black Edition:

    operating frequency 2.3 GHz;
    2 MB cache in the second level;
    2 MB cache of the third level;
    support for 3.6 GHz system bus HyperTransport 3.0;
    Socket AM2 + processor socket support.
    The main characteristic, in view of the specifics of the Black Edition processors, is its “overclocking” potential, but according to some sources, overclockers who have got new products at their disposal have not been able to make it work stably at a frequency above 2.5 GHz.
