Firefox VoIP Extension - SIP phone in browser
The Italian company Abbeynet presented another interesting development - an extension for the Mozilla Firefox browser, which allows you to use the browser as a full-fledged SIP client. After installing the extension, a small panel will appear in the browser, using which you can make VoIP calls around the world, at the rates of any SIP operator.
To configure Firefox VoIP Extensionyou only need to specify the SIP server, username and password of the user. To facilitate the configuration of the plugin, by default it already contains data for five well-known SIP operators: Gizmo Project, Free World Dialup, two Betamax services - VoipCheap and VoipStunt, as well as Abbeyphon VoIP service provided by Abbeynet. You can always edit or add a new operator to this list.
Using Firefox VoIP Extension will allow you to refuse to install additional SIP clients, and increase the capabilities of Firefox.
An interesting feature of this extension is the ability to highlight phone numbers on a web page with the ability to make a one-click call.
