I also want to discuss the topic of torrents and free information. Here are my considerations based on several western sources.

As you know, one of the arguments of those who defend and support The Pirate Bay in recent trials is the fact that representatives of the entertainment industry (or simply prosecutors) are prosecuting something that, in fact, is very similar to a search engine. Agree, a torrent tracker without a search would simply be buzzing. The other day it became known that someone using the Google Custom Search Engine created a fairly advanced search engine for torrent trackers .

The idea, as you understand, is not new, because anyone could implement it without using any super new tools, but could limit itself to simple queries (Enter what you want to find, for example, “The big bang theory” and add filetype: torrent ) This means that you can download content you are interested in using only Google Search without visiting torrent trackers !

So, Google every day violates a bunch of rights related to the license, and therefore, the number one search engine can also calmly receive a lawsuit that they do not respect copyright? And knowing how much people are greedy, then most likely this will happen in the near future.
