Nokia patents new phone design

In a recent patent application, Nokia detailed its vision of "compact devices with rotatable and retractable elements," the design of which is very similar to Danger Hiptop phones (in the US T-Mobile Sidekick).

To move the display and access the QWERTY keyboard, the user must turn the handle located on the side, which will slide the display up and back, thereby opening access to the keyboard keys.

Quite an interesting solution that differs from the standards, but it's too early to judge its advantages or disadvantages. It is worth the wait for the release of future models from Nokia.
