Ubuntu sent to conquer corporate servers
After positive experiences with desktop open systems in Europe and the US , Dell, one of the largest suppliers of servers and workstations for the corporate market, said it intends to certify Ubuntu for its line of server products in the first quarter of next year. Customers can now purchase Dell servers with the Ubuntu Server OS pre-installed and receive technical support from Canonical. It is noteworthy that now almost all Dell servers come with Windows. By the spring of 2008, the choice will be much greater: Red Hat Enterprise Linux, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server, Solaris and, pleasantly, Ubuntu Server.
