ATI (AMD) releases AIGLX-compatible driver for its graphics cards

ATI card owners can now enjoy the effects of Compiz Fusion - ATI has finally released the Linux driver fglrx 8.42, which not only fixes bugs with old cards, but is also compatible with AIGLX! This means that Compiz / Beryl / Compiz Fusion can be run without XGL!

In general, in addition to supporting AIGLX and a bugfix, there is a slight increase in performance, and better video playback. There are some problems with x86_64 support and serious incompatibility with the Linux 2.6.23 kernel.
