Two deputies are suing because of the blog
According to Edinoross Vladimir Medinsky, blog posts by Alexander Lebedev from A Just Russia caused him severe moral suffering, for which he, after consulting with colleagues and relatives, filed a lawsuit against Lebedev. These sufferings were brought to Medinsky by an entry in Alexander Lebedev’s personal blog, later posted on the website of the Kommersant newspaper, in which the author of the blog posted his opinion on lobbying for the gambling business in Russia. In particular, Lebedev wrote that Medinsky is one of such lobbyists. In an interview with Ekho Moskvy radio station, Medinsky said that he endured as long as the record remained within livejournal.com, but when it went to the newspaper’s website, his patience ran out.
Alexander Lebedev confirms the fact that he made just such an entry in his diary, but does not attribute the current scandal to Medinsky’s heavy moral suffering. Anton Nosik, managing the Russian segment of LiveJournal, perplexedly comments on this news, saying that if you can not express your opinion on the Internet, then this is a complete hello.
It can be added that this is not the first political scandal in Internet diaries. The parliamentarian had previously tried to push censorship online and enforce his rules on the LiveJournal community. The upshot was that unknown hackers simply hacked the people's choice’s online magazine.
