To not be excruciatingly painful

Reuters, citing China Daily on Tuesday, announced an interesting initiative by the Chinese government, which was concerned about the spread of computer and Internet addiction among young people. To rehabilitate young Chinese who are too attached to a silicon friend, they will be sent to a special summer camp for a 10-day course. As part of the first stage of the experiment, 40 young men and women aged 14 to 22 will undergo a program to eradicate manifestations of mental disorder such as depression, isolation, apathy, causeless panic and fear.

According to the Chinese Ministry of Health, about 13% of the 20 million local network users can be classified as Internet addicts. And although there is still no agreement in the world on whether this mental disorder is recognized as a serious disease, there are already many different treatment centers to combat it, including in China itself. For example, in one of them, near Beijing, the rehabilitation takes place according to a strict program based on the methods of training army special forces.
