LG KC1: smartphone with WiBro support
The other day, LG announced the start of mass production of the KC1 smartphone that supports the new standard for cellular communications WiBro (Wireless Broadband). It is known that WiBro was developed by the Korean company Samsung based on the WiMAX wireless standard. WiBro's advantages are low power consumption and the ability to "communicate" with base stations at a distance of 1.5 km at a speed of 30 Mbps - 50 Mbps.
Other interesting technical and software features of the KC1 include the Windows Mobile 5.0 platform, a 2.8-inch LCD screen, a Bluetooth wireless module, an SD memory card slot, and the ability to watch DMB-TV digital television programs. The smartphone will work on the basis of the Marvell Monahans processor with a frequency of 800 MHz.
