Youth requires Web 2.0 in the workplace

At the Enterprise 2.0 conference in Boston, representatives of the “young generation”, who recently graduated from college and are now actively moving up the corporate ladder, announced the need to have access to social resources, blogs and wikis directly at the workplace.

Marthin De Beer, vice president of advanced technology at Cisco Systems, said in this regard that stopping young people from using web-based tools is like taking away old people’s email.

By the way, according to the latest IDC research (most likely, it is about American statistics), 45% of companies in the country have bloggers, 43% use RSS feeds, and 35% do not do without wiki tools in their activities .
