Internet subway diagram

Japanese design bureau Information Architects , proposed a web trend map Web Trend Map 2007 Version 2 . The map is based on the Tokyo metro scheme.

They took about 200 leading web projects and placed them on the line stations. Each line combines similar services. For example, Facebook, Xing (the Asian counterpart to Linkedin), Vox, and LinkedIn are located on the blue line.

At each station, a “weather forecast” and web number are also indicated. Sunny and cloudless weather portends a favorable future for the site.

The map is available for download and print in several formats. It can also be used as a startup web page with hyperlinks.
