Now Online Amazon sold more than 300 movies in the HD DVD format, and more than 400 movies in Blu-Ray format. Soon they will add another 1000 films in HD DVD format.
The project partner is Microsoft, which supports the HD DVD format. The corporation will provide its VC1 codec and a set of programs.
The goal of the project is to attract independent producers to the new technology.
Prices and expected sales are not reported.
