Monk and hunter

Once a monk was walking through the forest. Nearby, he noticed a hunter who was aiming at a deer. The monk ran to him and began to beg not to kill the deer.

    - Why? - the hunter was surprised.
“If you kill him, then in your next life you can be born a deer.” This is the law of karma.

The hunter thought about it and did not kill the deer, lowering his gun. He looked at the monk: he was well and neatly dressed, had fine manners and good features, he felt that the monk emanated an aroma of bliss and serenity.

At that moment, the hunter aimed his gun at the monk. The monk asked him:

“My God, what are you doing ?!”
“You yourself said, this is the law of karma: if I kill you, then in the next life I will be a monk.” I like you.
