Sociological polls and attitude to them.
This is not even an article or review. These are some small thoughts and actually a question that I would like to get an answer to. Here are 0xa8 posted a message about the survey, what actually prompted to think.
I think that probably every person at least once came across the interrogators - on the street, in a store, by phone and so on. Moreover, I’m talking more about those polls that are over the phone, since they are usually much more tedious. For me at least. That is, the girl calls and asks “do you agree to answer a few questions?” And if you give your consent, “amazing yes-ducking and no-no-nessing” begins.
These polls are annoying with their duration, repeatability. However, it is necessary to somehow collect information for statistics. (I hope everyone understands why statistics may be required) I do not want to speak for everyone, I will only say for myself and my friends with whom I discussed this. The overwhelming majority begins to either “mock” or respond “off the tongue” after a short time from the start of the survey. The reasons for this behavior are obvious. I think not only me and my friends do this.
Now for the questions. Given all of the above, how much can you trust such information? And if the answer is “skeptical,” then is there any point in such polls?
And the second question. What do you think would be most correct to conduct surveys so that their value in terms of information is maximum? That is, to neutralize all the negativity that I described above.
