On July 26, a round table was held at the Ararat Park Hyatt hotel, whose participants, who discussed the development of Russian Internet advertising, were presented, among other things, the site MediaRevolution.Ru - an information project by Alexander Gagin.
Gleb Sahray, General Director ofPR-Technologies Agency , which provides support in promoting the site, in an interview with Habrahabr said that MediaRevolution.Ru is a B2B information platform focusing on coverage of events in the Internet advertising industry - Russian and foreign. “The niche MediaRevolution.Ru wants to occupy is still free,” says Gleb. - In RuNet there is no sufficiently authoritative resource specializing in this kind of information. This determines the relevance of the project, because it is no secret that online advertising is the fastest growing area of the Russian advertising market. ”
Within the framework of MediaRevolution.Ru, news flows and analytics are structured, which will be useful for specialists whose professional activities in one way or another intersect with the online advertising industry. The future plans of the creators of the project are to expand the content through analytics of their own researchers (4 people in the editorial team). So far, the site has collected mainly news and translations of reports of Western researchers.
Prior to the official presentation and opening of the English version of MediaRevolution.Ru, it worked in test mode for several months. The project is financed by IMHO VI, whose management assumes that in the near future the resource will become self-sustaining. The main source of income, according to Gleb Sakhray, will be the sale of banner advertising on the site. Presumably, various advertising platforms of the Network will act as advertisers, since the resource is aimed at people who just decide on advertising in certain media.
