Now on the main page of Habrahabr we have news directly, as well as fixed side blocks with live broadcast, tag cloud, company rating, advertising, work, etc. It seems to me that it would be cool if these blocks turned into widgets, i.e. so that you can place them at your own discretion, close, replace with others, create your own.
For example, I would remove the tag cloud (because I don’t use it at all), and put a widget with headers from the news feed in its place (I really missnews in the old format). I would leave the live broadcast, but I replaced the widget with the work with a widget with my karma and rating, and the widget with the company rating - with a list of active topics, etc. etc. The right to remove an advertising widget could be extradited as a special merit. Worth the idea?
