Came to us (as representatives of the project www.prokoni.ru) large publishing house. They propose to do with them a magazine on equestrian sports. As I understand it, several options for cooperation will be offered, from equity participation (I wonder how many they offer in such cases) to simply creating content for them (the work of the chief editor, etc.) They themselves do not understand the topic of equestrian sports ( and why should they, here, apparently, there is simply an installation to expand), although the portfolio contains magazines about other sports. The scheme is as follows: 1 pilot number is made, advertisers go along with it (as I understand it all), and if the advertisement in the publication is interesting, then the story will develop. For me, it’s just not clear - I always thought that in order to sell advertisements in a printed publication, you need to have a story from several issues, at least. Is it really so set up in large IDs that selling ads is not so difficult if the content (not even the content itself, but the exact niche, publication format) is not really bad? Should I get involved in this business? For me now it’s much more obvious how you can move with the same project online (Western market: prokoni.ru -> prokoni.com) than here and (oh my god) in the form of a glossy magazine. Apparently, not only the Internet, but also the publishers of paper periodicals are now experiencing a shortage of content, almost by force :) And especially, apparently, in the area of advertising space for luxury brands and manufacturers (apparently, the demand for them is growing rapidly due to the general increase in wealth Russia (or Moscow, as you want)). prokoni.com) than here and (oh my god) in the form of a glossy magazine. It is interesting that the process is two-way - after all, the same iXBT published a magazine, Sotovik tried himself offline (I don’t know now that I have not met them with these projects, at least on the tray in the Seventh Continent). Apparently, not everything is so simple here ... I will try to cover the further development of events.
