A new worm spreads via Skype
Internet security company Websense has warned of a worm spreading via the Skype IP telephony network.
It is reported that the worm sends messages to Skype Chat, prompting users to download and run a file. After launching, a spyware client is installed on the user's machine, which loads additional modules from the “host” server, after which it starts collecting personal and confidential information.
According to Websense, the "homeland" of the worm is presumably South Korea. There is no data on the number of infected computers yet, CNet reports .
