The new operating system from Microsoft are not yet able to buy only corporate clients - reports News the BBC . For regular users, Windows Vista will not be available until January 30, 2007, at the same time as the Office 2007 package.
Windows Vista is released in several variations. The version without the Aero GUI that uses 3D graphics accelerators is called Windows Starter 2007. A simplified version for home computers was named Vista Home Basic and Home Basic N (EU version). An enhanced version of the home system is called Windows Vista Home Premium.
For work computers, Microsoft has created a version of Windows Vista Business (Business N), as well as Windows Vista Ultimate, combining the capabilities of Vista Home Premium and Vista Business. For businesses, a version of Windows Vista Enterprise has been created, which includes OS virtualization, a multi-language interface, and Cornerstone information coding system.
To fully work with Windows Vista and use all the capabilities of the OS, the computer must be equipped with a processor with a frequency of at least one gigahertz, have a gigabyte of RAM, a video card with a memory of at least 128 megabytes, and 40 gigabytes of free space on the hard drive.
