Reliable anti-theft system for the phone
Sometimes you can stop a thief with only electric shock
Tom Mabe (Tom Mabe), the leading comedy channel on YouTube, has developed (with the help of specialists, of course) an anti-theft system for a smartphone. Such a system includes a shocker built into the cover of the device and a remote control panel.
When you press the corresponding button on the remote, the phone hits a person with a discharge. The idea to create such a device came to Mabu after his previous phone was stolen. Despite the fact that the video and the channel itself are humorous (although you can’t call the phone theft funny), Tom Mab announced his intention to launch the sale of such systems soon.
Unfortunately, there are no technical details about the gadget - the only thing that is clear, in this scheme is a remote control that activates the “shock” function. It seems that the phone is wearing a cover, which, perhaps, and "finalized" by the author of the video.
The idea is quite interesting - the only thing to fear is for thieves with pacemakers. In this case, the effect of current on the human body is very undesirable. One can only hope that there are very few thieves with pacemakers, and not all of them will try to steal such a phone.
It is quite possible that all this is pure prank, and there is no protection for the phones as such. But I would like to believe that “anti-theft for a smartphone” really exists - such a device would be useful to many.
