Explosions and falls on the road to success. The history of reusable spacex rocket in one video

    Grasshopper v1.0, September 2012.

On April 8, 2016, SpaceX made history by successfully landing the returning first stage of the Falcon 9 v1.2 rocket onto an unmanned barge. The Kinematic Youtube channel, which specializes in documentaries about astronautics, made a spectacular five-minute film about the event.

It all started on September 21, 2012. On this day, the Grasshopper test-return missile rose 1 meter 80 centimeters above the ground.

Grasshopper climbed higher and higher, and during the third flight it hovered in the air.

Grasshopper made its eighth and last flight on October 7, 2013, reaching a height of 744 m.
