Two new PHDays contests: IDS bypass and factory hacking

At PHDays 9, participants will be able to test their skills in workshops on various topics of application security. But the competition program is not limited to this: the list has replenished with two fresh competitions - Industrial Ninja and IDS Bypass.

You can compete for the title of industrial ninja and solve the big bang theory in the Industrial Ninja contest. Throughout the forum, anyone can try to hack into a gas pumping plant. At the disposal of participants will be three stands that emulate the industrial process. The essence of their work is as follows: under high pressure (more than 100,000 Pa), a deadly pesticidal gas (in reality, air) is pumped into an elastic container (balloon).

Each stand will have its own level of difficulty (in terms of protection): beginner, experienced and ninja. The task of the contestants is to understand the technological process, take control of the plant and provoke an accident. The competition will last throughout the forum, any visitor can take part. Participants who manage to take over control of the process and arrange an accident at the plant will receive prizes from the organizers: they promise Proxmark3 RDV2 for first place!

We are waiting for those who are more interested in fighting security systems at the IDS Bypass contest. Participants must hack into five vulnerable nodes and get flags from them, but at the same time go unnoticed by the intrusion detection system.

Everyone can participate in the competition, with any level of knowledge. Vulnerabilities will be widely known, you just need to concentrate on bypassing IDS. By the way, it will be possible to tighten the materiel at the Network Village booth, where security experts from Positive Technologies and the DC7831 and DC2e06 communities will make presentations, including on the IDS bypass. For the competition you will need a laptop with Wi-Fi and an Ethernet adapter. The winners will get: I place - WiFi Pineapple TETRA, II place - WiFi Pineapple NANO, III place - account in Shodan.
