On June 4 and 5, Minsk will host the second EMERGE conference - an event dedicated to the creation of global innovative products and investments in technology, the only event of this magnitude in the New East region (Eastern Europe, the Balkans, Central Asia). March 31, 2019 the acceptance of applications for EMERGE CHALLENGE ends- New East region startups competition in the framework of EMERGE conference. In order to be able to pre-qualify, speak to investors and the media, win € 10,000 and receive special prizes from accelerators, you need to submit an application via emergeconf.io and go through a 20-minute interview in English. Startups that fit the following criteria can participate in the preliminary selection :

• Investments in the project should not exceed € 1 million: € 0 investment is suitable, but € 1 million is already gone;
• the product must be global. A startup can be located or registered in any country in the New East region, but at the same time the product must be scalable and applicable in the global world, and not just within one country or city;
• the company must have a working prototype or finished product;
• at this stage, the startup should show figures for attracted customers, downloads, subscriptions, etc., something that will show the real value and work of the project.

If the startup meets all the criteria and is pre-selected, the project team will be able to run their project on stage in front of investors from Flint Capital, Genesis Investments, FunCorp, Tera Ventures, StarFinder Capital Fund and others, acceleration program managers from 500 Startups, Rockstart, Founders Factory, Startup Wise Guys and startup programs within corporations such as Microsoft for startups, BAYER Grants 4 Apps, Orange Fab and key media such as Venture Beat, The Next Web, VC.ru, etc.

Now, more than 50 startups from 15 countries have announced for the competition.

The results of the preliminary selection will be known by April 20. However, even if the startup has not passed the preliminary selection, it will nevertheless be invited to the Startup Alley exhibition with its booth - in which more than 80 startups and 2,000 visitors took part last year - will be able to make personal meetings with investors, funds, potential partners and media through the matchmaking app.

In its spirit, EMERGE is a conference festival with a rich program of networking events: from pre-party and morning run to after-party and informal Founders Stories Night, where the founders will share their stories of failures and mistakes that helped them to get to where they are there is now.

On the eve of EMERGE, on June 3, along with Flint Capital, Founders Day will be organized for startups with mentoring sessions, round tables and workshops on various topics: access to the American market, PR for startups, agile for product development and many, many productive networking.
