The bipedal Atlas robot. New generation
The company The Boston Dynamics (part of the Google unit [x] Alphabet Holding) has made a new version of its Atlas of the bipedal robot, which is known to developed commissioned by the US Defense Department agencies - DARPA.
The robot already copes well with the duties of a loader and improved its skills in walking on rough terrain.
The appearance has also changed - he added a little external casing, which, in my opinion, makes him look like the cybernetic characters of science fiction films.
On this occasion, the company released an interesting video clip, in which there are even several exciting moments.
When the robot fell after a heavy push with a pipe from behind, and thought for a second ... it seemed to me that he would now stand up and release a couple of charges from the blaster into the offender. But apparently not yet time ...
