Indiegogo raises money for caffeinated toothpaste
A crowdfunding company has begun at Indeigogo, within the framework of which it is planned to raise money for the production of unusual toothpaste - it will contain caffeine. The pasta will have the corresponding name Power Toothpaste, and its creator really offers the following scheme for its use: caffeine will not be consumed in the usual way, as the vast majority of people do, with a cup of coffee, but absorbed “directly” through the gums. Thus, it will be possible to leave only one action from the daily morning ritual - morning coffee and then brushing your teeth.
A Power Toothpaste tube that can handle approximately 90 cleanings should cost $ 12. A milliliter of paste will contain approximately 106 mg of caffeine. This quantity has been selected with some margin: since people spit paste during toothbrushing, they can thereby “lose” their usual dose of caffeine, which is about 80 mg. At the same time, the paste itself is no different from the “regular” one in consistency and does not give any “coffee” shade to the teeth.
The creator of Power Toothpaste himself is fully aware that people drink coffee not only in order to cheer up from the caffeine contained in it, but also in order to feel the taste of the drink or for a convenient reason to talk with friends, for example. Therefore, he really positions his idea as a “substitute” for coffee only for those who do not have time for morning coffee. It may even be useful. The author of Power Toothpaste's idea has statistics that say that 50% of Americans don’t floss daily, and 50% generally costs only one brushing a day. Having an “invigorating” paste on the bathroom shelf, one can expect that the routine process of brushing your teeth will take on new features.
The paste itself is registered as a cosmetic product: in other words, it can be used to remove plaque, but you won’t be able to get a “healing” effect like a paste containing fluoride. Power Toothpaste has a characteristic mint taste, which is more bitter than the usual pastes, but, as the creator of the idea says, this is completely not critical and he is already used to it.
