From 2016, AdBlock Plus will be preinstalled in all new ASUS phones and tablets

Recently it became known that ASUS has concluded a deal with Adblock Plus. The subject of the transaction was the integration of the blocker into browsers on tablets and phones of a Taiwanese company, which will be enabled by default. This was stated in an interview with Motherboard by co-founder and CEO of Adblock Plus, Till Faida (orig. Till Faida).
According to Motherboard, the ASUS browser has a relatively small user base (about 15 million), but such an agreement is potentially important. If other device manufacturers follow this example, then such an initiative can quickly gain momentum, which will shake the advertising and media sectors.
Adblock Plus - one of the most famous ad blockers - recently updated itsa valid ad policy that allows people to allow certain ads to appear on their browsers.
Ad blocking has been a subject of debate for a long time. This year was no exception. The debate about the fact that disabling the display of advertisements is more preferable than the payment for the provided content does not cease.
As Fayda said: “We are very pleased to be on the same team with ASUS, the first of the large companies that decided to integrate ad blocking into their mobile devices. This is another challenge for the advertising industry, and it is getting louder every day. ”
In the light of ongoing discussions about how to charge for online content, it will be interesting to see how many companies will join ASUS, if any.
