DIY Geek Gift, Candle Powered Fan (Many photos)
The design is assembled from the most affordable components. the only thing that is not quite accessible is the motor mount printed on a 3D printer.
For repetition you will need.
Tower type cooler.
I used one. Shot during an upgrade.

Any mini battery-powered fan. In the store, the fix price was like that.

Any motherboard chipset heatsink, the main thing is that it fits in size.

4 racks for attaching the motherboard to the case. The main requirement of the thread should be a standard m3.

4 screws m3x20, and 8 washers.
In case of repetition, the screws and washers must be taken in the dimensions you need.
Motor from an old CDROM.

And the most important element is the Peltier thermocouple.

The efficiency of this element is scanty, but in principle, the generated energy is enough to spin the motor.
The fastening of the entire system is implemented primitively, unscrew the native fasteners from the tower radiator, and use it to clamp the radiator and the Peltier element.
The Peltier element without any modifications is connected directly to the motor. In the end, we got such a simple design.

The practical application of such a toy leaves a lot of questions, having asked a bunch of people, we came up with a practical application. This is a fan for aroma candles, while aroma candles burn, a stream of air inflates aromatic odors in the room. The efficiency of smell distribution throughout the room turned out to be huge, unlike the simple burning of a candle, and the time during which it is necessary to keep the candle lit was dramatically reduced.
The next step in finalizing this design will be the use of a thermocouple with a higher efficiency. Judging by this screen from the candle, it’s quite possible to charge the phone. The generated energy should be enough to charge the phone, and to fully unwind the fan motor. A motor with a 3-volt power supply consumes about 0.2 amperes. Accordingly, 0.6 watts will take away the motor but almost 2 watts remain free. The full table is here .

PS At the moment, there is enough energy, in addition to spinning the motor, for 3 more ultra-bright LEDs, but the sense of them in this design is 0 :)
Thank you for your attention.
