First Cumulative Update Available for Windows Mobile Insiders

Last night, Gabe Aul announced the start of the distribution of the first cumulative update for insiders using assembly 10586. What’s new and what device support has been added, read under the cat.


Gabe Aul said that soon all devices will slowly upgrade to Windows 10. For Windows 10 itself, users will see updates in the Windows Update Center much more often and now not only new assemblies will be released, but also such cumulative updates as today.

At the beginning of next week, Windows Insider will be available for a couple of new devices:

It will happen, after updating the Windows Device Recovery Tool to the latest version with support for restoring the factory firmware of these devices.

• Microsoft Lumia 950 XL

What's new with update 10586.29?

• Various improvements in the use of the OS, especially for devices with a small amount of free memory (operational, as I understand it), improved rendering of cards
• Additional improvements in backward compatibility with applications for 8.1 written in silverlight
• Improvements to Edge performance and stability.
• Additional improvements in Bluetooth stability.
• Solved problems with switching to active cellular connection on dual sim smartphones
• MMS settings are now restored correctly.
