Kitara, Wizdish, Leapmotion, Faceshift, and more - Edutainmnet zone on SMIT
Hi, Giktayms,
on the eve of our super launch we are telling you what we have prepared for you. One of the topics that we were keenly interested in during the very beginning of the preparation of the SMIT Biennale , of course, was the theme of entertainment. Where without them? But we did not want to create a showroom dedicated exclusively to the fan. Then we combined entertainment and education in the EDUTAINMENT zone (the English term for the combination of these two concepts).
As part of this showroom, we gathered a little from a wide range of high-tech areas - from VR / AR and neuro-technologies, to the Kitara guitar, which is played using multitouch. Caution, under the cut a lot of cool videos.
So, what will we have? For example, we will have technologyLeapmotion . This controller allows working without a special device with a keyboard, mouse, touch pencil or trackpad. LeapMotion tracks movements of both hands and all 10 fingers with millimeter accuracy and incredible speed - more than two hundred frames per second. Cool, it is compatible with applications optimized for the microprocessor used, and also allows you to develop your own applications using the kit LeapMotion software development.
We offer two videos on the topic.
Great review from Rozetked
And a more informal review from EeeOneGuy. Xd
More about controllers - we will also have the Peregrine Glove , created to control gestures in the game. It is possible to program up to 40 different gestures into it. And it is just perfect for those who, literally, lack "a little magic" in online games.
Here is where her developer talks about her:
Another cool controller that you can’t help but talk about is the Delta Six , a virtual reality gaming machine. The built-in accelerometer allows you to control the scope and rotations of the camera, and reloading of weapons is carried out by taking the store and then placing it in its original place.
It really looks hyper-realistic:
We have tried. Staged photo. Our dog. Wizdish platform too.
And the next gadget hooked us after watching the video below:
Kitara Misa Digital is a guitar that is played using a large multitouch display. It's only a hundred times cooler than Guitar Hero. This gadget by the way does not apply to inaccessible mere mortals. It is quite possible to buy in Russia.
Also in the Edutainment zone it will be possible to test FaceShift from Intel RealSense , a combination of hardware and software and a three-dimensional video camera that completely change the interaction of users with their devices and the world around them.
Fun stuff. We also tested it happily for a long time, but censorship does not skip the created videos.
Expanding the topic of "education", we have created a whole section of cases in augmented reality, in which we present:
- Anatomy 4D where you can study the structure of the human body;
- Elements 4D by DAQRI - a completely delightful application that teaches you to "combine" chemical elements;
- Rosatom Augmented Reality - Rosatom's own project - the work of the nuclear plant from the inside;
- EON Experience VR - an application at the junction of virtual and augmented reality, which includes many 3D models on the themes of history, geography and space.
And this, of course, is far from all. Therefore, for details and other devices, come to our Museum. We will start on October 31 at the Museum of Moscow. Details, tickets, FAQ, everything on the site http://smit.space/
