[Information post] HyperX presents a competition for overclockers HyperX OC Takeover with a prize pool of 15,000 USD

    Hello Giktayms! For the third year in a row, HyperX sponsored competitions for overclockers from all over the world. This subspecies of e-sports art requires not so much manual dexterity in handling the keyboard and mouse, as deep knowledge of the processes occurring inside the components, and the ability to fine-tune all the parameters of the motherboard and RAM. This year, the finals are scheduled to be held at headquarters in Fountain Valley, California, USA on December 16 and 17, 2015, and the total prize pool will be $ 15,000. Who passes the qualifying roundin which everyone can take part. Even if you can’t fight on equal terms with world leaders, there is always a chance to participate in the prize draw, which is held every week among all participants in the competition.



    Competition Terms


    Who can participate?




    All overclockers registered on the hwbot.org website and giving results during the qualification round are allowed to participate in the competition . An exception is made for residents of Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria and Crimea, their results will not be taken into account when identifying winners. Employees of companies producing motherboards, RAM or processors are not allowed to participate.

    Acceptance of results in the qualification round ends on November 8, 2015.

    Test list


    • The maximum frequency of RAM, the result is recorded using the CPU-Z utility
    • Intel eXtreme Tuning Utility
    • Physics test result in 3D Mark 11

    Hardware Limitations


    Permitted to use:
    • Sixth Generation Intel Core Processors Only
    • Only DDR4 HyperX or Kingston RAM
    • Intel-based motherboards from any manufacturer
    • Only retail components are allowed, engineering samples are not allowed to participate.
    • Server processors are not allowed to participate.
    • Restrictions on the video card do not apply.
