From one of the contests:

The purpose of the competition is to justify the possibility of creation, subsequent development and experimental verification of a technical and technological solution in the field of creating artificial muscle for robotic devices.

The main objectives of the competition:

- identification of promising areas of scientific and technical research in order to develop new breakthrough technologies for creating artificial muscles;

- identification of research organizations and teams with a scientific and technical background, capable of conducting research of an innovative nature and achieving qualitatively new results in the field of creating artificial muscles for robotic devices;

- determination of the winner according to the results of the Competition, conclusion of an agreement with him on the implementation of a scientific and technical project for the development of a promising technology for creating artificial muscle for partial or complete replacement of electric and hydraulic drives in anthropomorphic and zoomorphic robotic devices.

... During the final stage of the Competition, the winners and the winner of the Competition are determined by the following criteria:

a) the demonstrator achieves the target parameters and parameters of the technical and technological solution when working the demonstration muscle samples with a load whose mass refers to the muscle mass (taking into account the mass of control systems, cooling, heating, etc.) less than 5 to 1;

b) achievement of the target indicators and parameters by the demonstrator of the technical and technological solution during the operation of the demonstration muscle samples with a load whose mass refers to the mass of the muscle (taking into account the mass of control systems, cooling, heating, etc.) not less than 5 to 1;

c) achievement of the target indicators and parameters by the demonstrator of the technical and technological solution during the demonstration of the muscle samples with the load, the mass of which relates to the mass of the muscle (taking into account the mass of control systems, cooling, heating, etc.) not less than 10 to 1.

... the winner of the Competition is paid a fee in the following amount:

for the 1st place (winner) - 3 (three) million rubles;

for the 2nd place (prize-winner No. 1) - 2 (two) million rubles;

for 3rd place (prize-winner No. 2) - 1 (one) million rubles.
