Curiosities in delivery
Probably any service that works in the service sector can tell a lot of funny stories, so here we share our.
1. A gift.
We have a client who buys quite a lot in the online cosmetics store for hair. Well, once, having received two packages for them, instead of the usual one, we were not surprised. But the client was surprised, they began to understand and find out what was happening, they opened an incomprehensible box. Inside was a skateboard, which in general has nothing to do with hair cosmetics, but was a gift for a very large order.
2. Large size.
We get a lot of requests about how much it will cost to bring a sofa, bed, bathtub from the USA. For obvious reasons, all this remained at the request level. Until one day we found a children's sandbox in the American warehouse, a huge one and a half meter sandbox. Naturally, its delivery was too expensive, the client decided to send it back, but, unfortunately, could not agree with the store to pay for return shipping.
At some point, it was decided not to store it anymore, not to waste resources, but to throw it away or give it to someone. So one kindergarten in Oregon got one more sandbox.
3. It is better not to joke with customs.
Once, one of our regular customers, as usual, came to pick up his parcel, made him a transit declaration, entered the goods in the parcel according to the invoice, and sent him to the customs office for inspection. Received approval, a satisfied client went home.
On the border in the red corridor I stamped the declaration and ended up in the hundredth percent when the customs asked to open the parcel. This time, the store also decided to make a gift and went up to it with all possible creativity. They put attributes for the magician into technical things (ribbons, hats, rabbits, everything is as it should), and of course, since this is a surprise, there was not a word in the invoice about the gift.
