Pebble Time got 9 out of 10 for maintainability according to iFixit.com
In my recent article, I made a mistake by suggesting that Pebble Time is hard to make out without damage. It turned out that these smart watches are quite repairable, which is confirmed by yesterday's publication on iFixit.com - Pebble Time Teardown .
I did not do a full translation of the original article, there all the salt is in the illustrations and everything is clear from them. I will give only the main points.
- The strap is completely standard, and can be easily replaced with any strap with a width of 22 mm purchased at a watch store.

- Unlike Pebble Steel, the new watch is opened from the front. Despite the absence of visible screws, the front panel can be easily removed after a little heat.

- Inside, ordinary screws are used for a Phillips screwdriver and you don’t have to look for a TORX ( as was the case with Pebble Steel ).

- The display is not glued to the glass, therefore broken glass can be replaced independently of the display.

- There are no soldered or glued loops and wires inside - everything is easily disconnected.

- A battery of 150 mAh, 0.57 Wh, 3.8 V is used, which is more or less easy to change (to access the battery, you need to remove the display and remove the motherboard).

- Photo Pebble Time display through a microscope:

It can be seen that the color is obtained due to the resizing of subpixels.
