Intel Xeon D - everything for a server on a single chip

In March, the Intel Xeon processor line was replenished with another fundamentally new family - Xeon D. Xeon D is a SoC, consisting of x86 computing cores, a 10G network card and input / output ports (including PCIe, a DDR4 controller, and SATA). Currently, two models of the family are already available for order: the eight-core Intel® Xeon® Processor D-1540 and the quad-core Intel® Xeon® Processor D-1520 (core operating frequencies are 2.0 and 2.2 GHz, respectively). Both processors have a TDP of only 45 watts and are designed for use in devices where it is necessary to combine performance with compact installation: micro servers, network devices, including wireless, nodes of cloud services and hosting.
The cost of the processors will be $ 199 for the younger and $ 581 for the older model.
