J.Flex: 3000 mAh flexible battery

Korean company Jenax introduced a flexible battery with a capacity of 3000 mAh, which can crumple like paper. To demonstrate the possibilities of their development, the creators of J.Flex crumpled the battery, put it in several layers and even formed origami figures.
It seems that the technology has arrived just in time - after all, various companies produce “smart” clothes of various types, where a regular battery is used, and this is inconvenient for the user, for several reasons. In addition, the trend of flexible devices is also slowly growing, which also requires a reliable flexible battery.

As mentioned above, the capacity of such a battery is quite decent - it will be enough for most smartphones, and even more so for wearable electronics with its energy-efficient chips and smart clothes. The battery itself is Li-Ion, nothing revolutionary here, the developers only updated the battery structure (especially details are not disclosed here). This type of battery can be used in fitness bracelets , where the bracelet itself may already include a battery along its entire length. This, as mentioned above, can be smart clothes, all sorts of flexible devices. The J.Flex battery is also very convenient for developers of conventional devices - after all, it requires a minimum of space, the battery can be bent, glued to the walls, and adjusted to the shape of the device case.

Besides the fact that the battery is flexible, it is also thin, so such a battery is ideal even for large devices - tablets, large smartphones, etc. The battery thickness is 2.3 mm, the battery itself consists of several square cells with a side length of 80 mm and a capacity of 1000 mAh each. It is clear that the more cells, the greater the capacity. The “sheet” with a length of 3 meters, a width of 0.2 m and a thickness of 0.5 mm will have a capacity of 17,500 mAh. The thickness of the battery can be different, the battery capacity will depend on this.

The battery is not afraid of the effects of water, so there are no problems here either.
