And while the weather was warm in December, there was time to indulge in what I picked up, namely the Wltoys A979 1/18 Scale Realistic 4WD 2.4GHz RC Truck Monster Racing.


 

This is an 18-fold reduced copy of a real SUV, which consists of plastic and small metal structures. The mass of the car is about a kilogram.

Another advantage is the independent suspension on double wishbones. This contributes to a high degree of vehicle control, which is why double wishbones suspension is often used in sports cars.









It should be noted a sufficient balance of the mass of the car to its dimensions. Due to which it is not very thrown up on bumps and at medium speeds, the comfort of riding on rough roads is inherent, however, I advise accelerating to maximum speed only on a flat road.

The car has hollow rubber wheels with appropriate protectors for SUVs. The height of the wheel is 71 mm and the width is 40 mm.




 
Some attention must be paid to the control panel.



It was not easy for me to get used to the remote control. However, a few ten-minute races, and I was born with this remote control in my left hand.

On the remote control on the right side are four buttons - trim tabs.



The top two adjust the direction of the front wheels (left and right). This is necessary, because when you press the gas, the car should go absolutely straight, but due to the fact that there is a certain play in the wheels, the car may slightly lead to the side. Therefore, the developers decided to add these buttons to regulate the direct movement of the machine.

The use of the lower buttons is due to the need, at some point, to reduce or increase the maximum speed of the model. For example, when driving on a straight, level road, maximum speed can be increased, and for a winding road with natural obstacles such as bumps and holes, handling is key, not speed.

The car cover consists entirely of plastic and is attached to the body with the help of simple devices - clamps, on the hood of the car and on the trunk.





Inside, the car also looks decent. The battery is attached to the case with a durable Velcro, connects to a single unoccupied wire and the power is turned on.





Small size and good management make the machine quite suitable not only for the street, but also for driving around the house.
