Activision Blizzard Appoints Tarantino Producer

The company of Activision of Blizzard , founded in the last year his own film and television studio, made one of the presidents of the famous Hollywood producer Stacey Sher [Stacey Sher]. Cher worked with directors such as Steven Soderbergh, Oliver Stone and Quentin Tarantino (with the latter on his hits Pulp Fiction and Django Unchained).

The screen version of computer games in Hollywood very often failed, and the company, which owns dozens of game hit projects, decided to take matters into their own hands. Instead of selling film rights to film studios and watching how they spoil a good product, AB film and television studios will shoot films on their own.

True, the adaptation of World of Warcraft, a franchise owned by AB, which is filmed at the Legendary Pictures studio, still looks pretty good.

The company's second president is Nick van Dyke, a former Disney executive. He was optimistic about the emerging prospects of a company that, in his words, “has a unique advantage of having a whole library of world-class intellectual assets, including the largest franchises that have not yet reached movie and television screens.”

Studio already plans to shoot the series on the children's game Skylanders, and several films based on the super popular Call of Duty franchise.

Activision teamed up with the Vivendi Games group of companies, which included well-known studios such as Sierra Entertainment and Blizzard Entertainment, in 2008. The president of the combined company was the former president of Activision, Robert Kotick.
